PSAC is pleased to announce that a new collective agreement has been ratified by members of the Swissport Canada Fuel Services Unit at Vancouver International Airport. The agreement, reached with the assistance of a federal arbitrator, expires in October 2021 and provides for a fair increase in wages and improvements in job bonuses. The employer also committed to addressing members` concerns about part-time workers in the absence of an agreement between the union and the company. The negotiating team thanks all members for their support, solidarity and mobilization during this round of negotiations. The actions taken by members in the workplace were invaluable and sent a strong message to Swissport. The new contract, which expires in December 2016, includes wage increases, an increase in the extended health plan, improved family leave and language improvements for part-time workers. Approximately 80 PSAC/UCTE Local 20221 members work at Swissport Canada in Richmond BC, refueling aircraft and providing related services to YVR. PSAC is pleased to announce that a new collective agreement has been ratified by members of UCTE Local 20221, directly employed by the airport authority. The YVR negotiating team thanked all members for their support during this round of negotiations.
Together, we are stronger!.
